The drawings I am showing here are all made with pencil on white paper. The process in which these drawings are produced is very slow so that they seem to appear on the paper more that being drawn on it; are all made with several layers of signs and this methodology contribute to give a sense of profundity to the forms.
The drawings are organised in thematic series, it is like an archive of modules to be combined to construct stories. Each drawing is a letter of an extra-linguistic alphabet, a fragment of a future narrative, an archetype of the collective archive.
Each drawing is like a card of a Tarot desk in which each combination creates a different narrative. An example is 'Combination I - Nostalgia' or 'The Snake speaking', where the drawings are picked up from different thematic series and put together to create one of the possible stories.
I disegni che presento in questo contesto sono tutti realizzati con matita su foglio bianco. La metodologia usata e' molto lenta e mi permette di fare apparire le immagini sul foglio piu' che disegnarle. Sono tutti realizzati attraverso molti strati di segni a matita , che danno, una volta finiti, una sensazione di profondita' alle forme descritte. I disegni sono organizzati in serie tematiche, e’ come un archivio di moduli, che combinati insieme construiscono storie. Ogni disegno e’ una lettera di un alfabeto extra-linguistico, un frammento di una narrativa futura, un archetipo dell’archivo collettivo. E’ come una carta di un mazzo di tarocchi, che a seconda di come associ le carte nello spazio la narrativa cambia. 'Combination I - Nostalgia' e’ un esempio come anche 'The Snake speaking' , dove I disegni sono presi da differenti gruppi tematici and combinati in modo da creare una delle tante possibili storie.
